Beginning Alcohol and Addiction Basic Education Studies (B.A.B.E.S)

March 18 - April 29 (except April 15) (Saturdays) 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Facilitators: Lynda Donaldson and team

This 6-week workshop is for parents and children ages five to eight years old. The children interact with animal puppets in storytelling, song and other activities that present real-life scenarios and solutions to help children learn positive life-skills. Material includes self-image, decision making, peer pressure and healthy coping skills. Children learn about alcohol and other drugs in an age-appropriate way that contributes to prevention of substance abuse.

During the time period that the children are attending the B.A.B.E.S program, parents will attend a support group where parenting issues and experiences can be discussed and shared.
